Federal Food Programs
Federal Food Programs provide important health and nutrition benefits to children, women, the elderly, and families in need.
The most common federal food program is SNAP (Supplement Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly Food Stamps). Today in the United States, more than 45.7 million people use the SNAP Program to feed themselves and their families.
